Obituary of James R. Clarke

James R. Clarke, 62, of Lake Winola died at home on October 20, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Clarke.

 

Born in Scranton on February 2, 1956 he was the son of the late Frank and Margaret Orr Clarke.

 

A graduate of Penn State with a degree in engineering, Jim retired from Rite Temp in 2015 after 35 years of service. He enjoyed riding his Harley Motorcycles, 5th wheel camper and frequently traveled to Daytona Beach.

 

Jim was a master Scuba Diver and assisted in many search and rescue efforts.

 

He is survived by his fiancé, Megan J. O’Neil; three cousins; an aunt, Betty Orr; two step daughters, Ashleigh Evans, and Kassidy Kraky.

 

Family and friends are invited to attend Jim’s funeral which will be held Wednesday October 24, 2018 at 12:00PM from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc., 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657. With Deacon Raymond A. Pieretti presiding. Friends may call from 11:00AM until the time of service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Lake Winola, PA.

 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Jim’s name to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Rd, South Abington Township, PA 18411.
