Obituary of Charles Stanley Fargo

Charles Stanley Fargo III, 59, of Auburn Township died at his home on Monday October 29, 2018.

Born in Meshoppen on August 6, 1959 he was preceded in death by his father the late Charles S. Fargo and survived by his mother Betty Shiffer Fargo.

Charles had a lifelong career at Proctor and Gamble, Mehoopany,retiring in 2014.  He enjoyed working around his home gardening and bee keeping.  He loved hunting and fishing with his friends, especially rattlesnake hunting for the Noxen Rattlesnake Roundup. He was a fan of NASCAR Racing and enjoying cheering on his favorite Raiders Football Team.

Charles was a member of the Meshoppen Rod and Gun Club, and Elk Lake American Legion.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his daughter Laura Fargo of Tunkhannock; sisters, Melinda Eggert and husband Ralph of Tunkhannock, and Beth Smurkowski and husband Jack of Meshoppen; niece, Amy Fariole and husband Al; Nephews, Alex Eggert and wife Becca, and Corey Smurkowski and Wendy Gattinella; great nieces, Natalia and Ella Fariole; great nephews, Cameron and Jaxon Fariole, and Jakub Smurkowski; several aunts and uncles.

Charles was preceded in death by his great nephew Aiden Fariole.

Family and friends are invited to attend Charlie’s funeral service which will be held Friday November 2, 2018 at 11:00AM from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc., 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657. With Pastor Lucas Taylor presiding. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock. Friends may call on Thursday from 5-8PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Charlie’s name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
