Ruth D. Button of Germantown, Maryland went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 23, 2015 at the Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville, Maryland. She was preceded in death by her husband of seventy-nine years, Ronald O. Button, and her brother, Guy Davies. Ruth was born on July 12, 1914 in Lynn, Pennsylvania daughter of the late Ray and Cleona Davies. She was a lady of great faith and prayer and a faithful member of the Columbia Baptist Church in Falls Church, Virginia. She enjoyed quilting, tatting, playing the piano, cooking and working crossword puzzles. She is survived by her son Dale Button and wife Linda of Tucson, Arizona, and daughter Rhea Beth and partner Thomas Padgett of Germantown, Maryland. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 West Tioga Street, Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock. Friends and family may call at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home on Monday between 10:00 and 11:00 AM prior to the service.
