Anthony C.”Tony” Kitchnefsky of Lake Winola died Thursday, April 2nd at Geisinger Community Medical Scranton. He was born in Tunkhannock on June 23, 1935 son of the late Anthony C. and Victoria Kovalchick Kitchnefsky. He was a graduate of Tunkhannock High School class of 1953, and a Veteran of the United States Army and owner of Kitchnefsky Logging for over 40 years, a member of, the Lake Winola United Methodist Church, Back Mountain Bowling League and the NRA. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman, and also enjoyed the time spent with his grandchildren. Surviving is his wife of 58 years Irene Heydon Kitchnefsky, son and daughter in law, Dale and Lorie Kitchnefsky Sr., of Lake Winola, daughters and son in laws, Wendy and Zig Rezykowski, Ella and Bert Occulto both of Lake Winola, sister Helen Gregosh of Clark Summit, Pa., 8 grandchildren Catrina, Todd, Ziggy, Dale Jr., Kecia, Angela, Jaime, Dana, 14 Great Grandchildren and Nieces and Nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 4th at 12 noon from the Lake Winola United Methodist Church with Pastor Michael Baumgardner. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Lake Winola.
