Obituary of Glenn W. Custer

Glenn William Custer Glenn W. Custer of Tunkhannock died at his home on Saturday, November 14th. He was born in Tunkhannock on December 12, 1926 son of the late Theodore and Ethel Potter Williams Custer. He was a 1945 graduate of Tunkhannock High School and an Army Veteran of WW2. Glenn worked as a self-employed contractor before going to work with the Claverack Rural Electric Cooperative where he worked for 34 years. A member to Nicholson Lodge # 438 F&AM, Triton Hose Co. #1, Tunkhannock United Methodist Church and the Dennis Strong American Legion Post. Glenn was preceded in death by brothers Paul Custer and Carl Williams. Surviving is his wife of 68 years Lelia Girven Custer, sons and daughter in laws Scott and Alma Custer, Gary and Linda Custer of Tunkhannock, grandchildren Meghan and Kyle Custer, Brittany and Jerry Schmidt, Wesley and Jenna Custer, great grandchildren, Jerry and Zoe Schmidt. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 pm from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock with Pastor Jon Buxton of the Tunkhannock United Methodist Church, Interment will be in Lacey St., Cemetery, Laceyville.
