I played Little League baseball with your Dad and grandpa. We played on a team called Squirt (named after the soda brand) and were called the squirts. Well, the squirts dominated the Duryea Little League when your Dad and I were 11 and 12 yrs. old. Your Dad threw BB's (very fast pitches) and was nearly unhittable. When not pitching he was our shortstop. Jack shined in All Star competition and the one game I will never forget he struck out 14 hitters (out of a possible 18) against Back Mountain Little League. We lost a heartbreaker to them 1-0. That Back Mountain Team went on to win the Pennsylvania championship and played in the Little League World Series. I wish Jack played in High School but it wasn't to be. I still believe he was the best power pitcher to come out of the Pittston Area School District. We also attended Northeast High prior to it becoming PA. My condolences to you, his family. May He Rest In Peace. Sincerely, Rich Rava
