I am so sorry to hear about Mrs. Goeringer passing away. I was one of her students at Dallas High School in 1980. I credit her with providing me the opportunity to work with children in the Preschool program she had at the school. I continued in the education field and have been a teacher in Kindergarten for 30 years. I am grateful that I had the chance to thank Mrs. Goeringer one day in a local store. She was one of those people that made a lasting impact on my life.

There are 3 things that I will remember Aunt Nancy for: (1) the light in her eyes when she laughed or smiled; (2) the gentleness of her soul; and (3) the warm and kindness of her words. Jeanette, Leslie, Kathy: Your Mom lives on in each and everyone of you. May your memories bring you comfort now and in the days to come. I will truly miss her. Janie Coombs

I send love and blessings to the family of "Aunt Nancy." Though I haven't seen her for many years, she was always a calm, warm and loving presence during our years visiting the farm at Lake Louise as children. She was also the only one to maintain a connection to my brother David, for which I am very grateful. I will keep her and you in my thoughts and prayers.

I will never forget Mrs. Goeringer. In the late 1970's, I had her as a home economics teacher and loved her sewing class. One of the things that left such an impression on me with Mrs. Goeringer was her extreme patience with all of us. I was one of her students that was forever questioning her on why I had to follow a certain direction she was showing us, but she quietly explained why and showed utmost gentleness and calmness. Throughout the years, I often thought of her, and marveled at how so much she was like my pastor's late wife, Betty .. with the same beautiful calm nature and positive attitude. Upon hearing of Nancy's passing, I can only imagine her and Betty becoming quick friends in Heaven.
