John H. Scholz Sr, 70, of Mehoopany passed away at his home on Monday, April 25th. He was born December 16, 1945, in Norfolk, MA son of the late Frank and Evangeline Scholz. Prior to his retirement he had been employed at Ertley Motorworld working in its various locations as the parts and service manager. He left Motorworld to return home to take care of his father on the family farm in Mehoopany. He enjoyed working on the farm and spending time with his dog Tater. He was a jack of all trades. He will always be remembered for his infectious smile. Surviving is his wife of 15 years, Joanne Witter. Also surviving are daughters Crista (Javier) Oeller-Cou of Miami FL, Heidi Scholz and companion Nancy Edmunds of Archbald and son John Scholz Jr. of Mehoopany, stepdaughter Ginny (Norm) Zinck of Sedalia MO, stepson John Witter (Melisa Frantz) of Mehoopany; sister Josephine (Ted) Lynn of Attleboro Falls, MA,brother Frank Scholz of Mehoopany, grandchildren Jessica and Bobby Oeller, Paige Witter, Cheyanne Zinck, John Scholz III, Colton Witter, and Carleigh Scholz and two great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. At Johns request there will be no viewing or memorial service. Those wishing may make a memorial donation in Johns name to a charity of their choice. Arrangements entrusted to Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc., 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA.
