Lawrence V. Talcott “Larry” 57, passed away Monday, August 16, 2010 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital after a short courageous battle with cancer. Larry did not lose his battle with cancer as he lived each day since his diagnosis to the fullest, working and enjoying his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Irene Costello Talcott, Tunkhannock. Born on August 14, 1953 in Dover, NJ son of the late Harry B. Talcott Jr. and Lois Sweet Talcott of Tunkhannock. He was a graduate of Tunkhannock Area High School and Johnson Technical Institute. Larry, an architectural draftsman by trade, owned and operated his own construction company for 23 years. He loved his work and all his customers. He was a loving husband, proud father and a kind-hearted friend to all. He was always there to lend a helping hand and always believed in you. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting with his family. Him and his wife liked to travel but he always liked home the best and could be found many evenings sitting on the front porch or taking a Gator ride to his daughter and son-in-law’s house. He loved his cows and being at the barn, especially with his granddog Kona. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Lori and Lance Gramberg, Tunkhannock, sisters, Sheila Talcott, Kathy Talcott, both of Tunkhannock, sister Wanda Evans of Harveys Lake and brother and sister-in-law Bradley and Becki Talcott, Tunkhannock, nieces and nephews.
