Ethel Marie Coolbaugh 74, of Meshoppen died Thursday February 11 at her residence. She was born in Washington Twp. on December 14, 1935 daughter of the late Luther A. and Ethel E. Knorr Coolbaugh. Ethel was a homebody. She loved listening to her favorite radio station, WPEL in Montrose, and reading her bible and the Guide Post Devotional. She will be sadly missed by her loving family and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers Luther A. Jr. and Olen Coolbaugh, and sister Elsie Buckingham. She is survived by her brothers; Gene, of Meshoppen, George I., of Coventry, Connecticut, and Russell J. Coolbaugh, of Wysox, and sisters; Sarah Hartman, of Meshoppen, Maybelle J. Coolbaugh, of Meshoppen, Bertha M. Brink of New Jersey, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 16 at 11:00 AM from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc. 73 West Tioga St. Tunkhannock, Pa. with the Rev. Thomas Mott of the Meshoppen United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Carverton Cemetery, Carverton, PA. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 712 South Keyser Ave., Taylor, PA 18517.
