Rosemary Shoemaker of Shoey Lane Mehoopany PA passed away Thursday January 27, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Born November 22, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert and Ruth French Sands.
Surviving are her husband William L. Shoemaker and four children, Timothy Shoemaker and his wife Kelly, Jennie Fox and her husband Richard, Robbie Shoemaker and his wife Lisa, Michelle Spickerman and her husband James. Brothers Raymond Sands Sr., Korah Sands, Gilbert Sands, and sister Ruthann Smith.Rosemary was proceeded in death by brothers Donald Sands, Gary Sands, and sisters Ellen Miller and Frances Sands.
She was a graduate of Tunkhannock High School. She attended Braintrim Baptist and Mehoopany United Methodist churches. She enjoyed spending time with all of her friends and family. She also enjoyed going to the casino and playing bingo.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 31st at 11 am from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock with Pastor Charles Bishop officiating. Interment will be in Vaughn Cemetery, Mehoopany. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, January 30th from 4 - 8 pm.
