Obituary of Thane Jess Hoover

Thane J. Hoover, 48 of Bardwell Road, Factoryville died Saturday, June 20th, 2009 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley. Thane was born in Meshoppen, on January 4, 1961 son of Alice E. Heitsman Hoover and the late Elmer W. Hoover. Jr.. He was a 1979 graduate of Elk Lake High School. Thane grew up on the Curly-Heits Dairy Farm in Springville were he resided and worked on the Dairy farm until 1994. He was currently employed by the Excel Corporation at the Proctor and Gamble Plant in Mehoopany. Thane’s joy in life was hunting and fishing in the great out doors and spending time with his wife of 17 years Stacey Warner Hoover and his daughters, Ashley, Casey and Wendy Hoover all at home. Also surviving are sisters, Debbie Sherman, Montrose, Dixie McGregor, Factoryville, Mary Serfass, Texas, Rebecca Wallace Springville, brother Danny Hoover of Springville, In-Laws Dale and Shirley Warner, of Springville,numerous nieces and nephews. Thane was preceded in death by a brother Benton Hoover. Funeral services were held on Monday, June 22 from the Springville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jane Bensley officiating. Interment was in Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock. Arrangements by the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock.
