Florence Sakosky Stelma of Centermoreland died at her home on Wednesday December 8th. Born in Wyoming, PA on January 28, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and MaryAnn Stanislawa Sakosky. She had been employed in the dress factory industry for over 23 years retiring from Lori’s Dress Factory in Falls PA. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Centermoreland until its closure and was a member of the St. Frances Cabrini Church, Carverton, PA. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Florence enjoyed spending time and volunteering at the Northmoreland Township Fire Company and the Falls Senior Citizens Center. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Stelma Sr, brothers Benjamin and Walter Sakosky, sisters, Antionatta Koharsky and Bertha Petraski and son-in-law James Manganella. She is survived by son Joseph and wife Patricia Stelma Jr. of Centermoreland, daughters Dolores Manganella of Tunkhannock, and Florence and husband Raymond Mociun of Centermoreland. Grandchildren and spouses CherylAnn Manganella, Jennifer and Steve Geaney, Stephanie and Craig Petulla, Trisha Stelma and Michael McCormack and Joseph Stelma III. Great grandchildren, Kelley McCormack and James Geaney. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9 am from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc. 73 W. Tioga St, Tunkhannock with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at the St Frances Cabrini Church in Carverton, PA. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5 – 8 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Northmoreland Township Fire Company, 4 Demunds Rd., Tunkhannock, PA 18657 or St Frances Cabrini Church, 585 Mount Olivet Rd., Wyoming, PA 18644.
