Robert Sands Robert Sands of Country Village, Dallas died Saturday in the Golden Living Center in Tunkhannock. He was born in Falls on August 6, 1939 son of the late Emerson and Annabelle Durling Sands Sr. .Prior to his retirement he was employed by Airport Sand and Gravel in Duryea for 40 years. Bob also worked as a self employed Truck driver and enjoyed hunting, gardening and being with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by a son Thomas, brothers Jack and David Olmstead, Surviving is his wife of 47 years, Dorothy Keithline Sands, sons Robert, of Laceyville, David, of Falls, Ronnie, of Dallas and Stanley of Falls. Daughters Bonnie Sands of North Grove, Conn, Diane Sands, of Mt. Pleasant Mills, Rosemary Hallock, of Tunkhannock, Alice Barrett, of West Wyoming. Brothers Stanley Sands, of Tunkhannock, Wayne Sands, Od Meshoppen, Emerson Sands Jr., of Dimmock, James Sands, of Laceyville and Larry Olmstead of Tunkhannock. Sisters Shirley Houser and Donna Etheridge, both of Kentucky, 22 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 am from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock. Interment will be in Perrins Marsh Cemetery, Centermoreland.
