Obituary of Josephine Mennicucci

Josephine Mennicucci Josephine Mennicucci of Bardwell Road, Factoryville, formerly of Holiday City, Toms River, New Jersey died Monday, at the Golden Living Center in Tunkhannock. She was born in Boomer West Virginia on June 3, 1915 daughter of the late Francesco and Agrippina Mandra. She enjoyed good home cooking, gardening and had a great green thumb. Her knitting of baby blankets brought her numerous awards at the Wyoming County Fair. She was active in the Wyoming County Senior Citizens and enjoyed their company at the Senior Citizens Center. Josephine was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Domenic Mennicucci and a son Robert. Surviving is a son Domenic (Dom) Mennicucci of Factoryville, daughter Joyce Sullivan of Virginia, 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 am at the Church of Nativity BVM in Tunkhannock. Interment will be on Monday June 29, 2009 at 11:30 am in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ. Friends may call at the Sheldon- Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc. 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8.
