Sandra L. Smith of Mehoopany died Friday February 25, 2011 in the Hospice Unit of Geisinger South in Wilkes-Barre. She was born in Kingston on November 21, 1947 daughter of the late Howard and Betty Louise Evans Boice. Sandra received her GED from Tunkhannock High School in 1986. She was a graduate of Empire Beauty School and was a self practicing beautician. Prior to her illness she was the manager of Pen Mart in Tunkhannock. She was preceded in death by a sister Beverly Brewer. Surviving are sons Donald Weber and wife Judy of Beaumont, Allen Weber and wife Jennifer of Sweet Valley, C.J. Smith and wife Cierra of Atchison, Kansas, daughters Michele and husband Jim DonVito of Tunkhannock, Tonya Harrison and boyfriend Norm Fassett of Mehoopany, brothers Richard Boice and wife Michele, Dave Boice and wife Brenda, and Randy Boice all of Harvey’s Lake, Thomas Brunges of Sayre, fifteen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Sandra’s life will be held on Monday evening from 6 to 8 at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock.
