Mary Zaruhee Stahlman of Dalton died at the home of her daughter Marie Stahlman on Tuesday. She was born in Detroit, MI on October 24, 1923 daughter of the late Parook and Sivart Julkatier Boudockian Sinamian.
She served as a Lieutenant in the Navy in the Koren conflict and prior to her retirement was employed as a nurse in the health care industry. She was preceeded in death by a daughter Mary Jane Stahlman, a brother Jack Sinamian, and a sister Flora Volz.
Surviving is a daughter Marie Stahlman and husband Robert Thomas of Dalton; A sister Kathleen Payne of Big Bear City CA; two granddaughters and their fiancées Cassandra Miller and David Silaphath, and Rachel Miller and Baylan Smith all of Richmond, VA. One great-grandson Morrissey Silaphath, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10am in The Armenian Church of the Holy Martyrs, Bayside, New York, with interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Flushing NY. Friends may call at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc., 73 W Tioga St., Tunkhannock on Thursday evening from 6 â 8 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer, Heart, Diabetes or Alzheimerâs Associations.
