Arlene L. Phillips of Tunkhannock, a guest of Keystone Garden Estates in Larksville, passed away on Friday May 15, 2009. She was born in Tunkhannock on May 24, 1931 daughter of the late Clarence and Louise (Archambeault) Mead. She had been employed at Bendix Aviation in Southern Montrose and worked at General Aero in Tunkhannock. She and her husband the late Howard W. Phillips managed the Tioga Terrace Apts. in Tunkhannock from 1967 to 1971. She was a member of the Russell Hill United Methodist Church and the Wyoming County Senior Citizens. She was preceded in death by a son Howard Bruce Phillips and a brother Raymond Mead. Surviving is a sister Gladys Lamoreaux of Nanticoke and close friends and care-givers Nancy and Edward Klimas of Tunkhannock. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 am from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock with Rev. Daniel Herron officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 – 4 pm. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Russell Hill United Methodist Church c/o Peg Ellsworth, 2 Lemon Creek Rd, Meshoppen, PA 18630.
