Obituary of Marian E. Drako
Please share a memory of Marian to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Marian E. Drako of Lake Carey Tunkhannock died Saturday evening in her home. She was born in Wilkes-Barre on February 18, 1950 daughter of the late Robert and Marie Sutton Beilman Sr.
Marian didnât feel that achievements, jobs, schooling or attachments of any kind would tell you what is important in ones life. She was given the gift of time to discover who she was and make use of it in an amazing way. She decided a while ago if she had the ugly cells of cancer that they would have to adapt to her and her life and her only challenge became her blessings as her motive was to thrive and so she did.
Marian is married to a wonderful husband of 39 plus years John âJackâ Drako who along with her brother Robert Beilman and his wife Robin took care of Marian thru the most difficult and happiest of times of her life.
Marians greatest joy were the years that she worked with the poor and homeless She was excited about each changing season and all its beauty which she found to be amazing. She enjoyed Cooking, Gardening, yard sales, reading and love of animals. Marian loved to decorate her home was often referred to as âMarthaâ. She found that laughter made her very content through her long illness.
What Marian was most passionate about was that she refused to let the illness change her life as she once lived it. Instead she chose to fall in love with Jesus and it was during this time that she met and developed amazing friendships. People were placed in her life like âangelsâ helping her in ways that they will never know. âYou live life as if in dancing Shoesâ
