Miriam R. Holdredge of Tunkhannock, died Sunday July 6, 2008 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest J. Holdredge on January 5, 2002. She was born in Allentown on January 2, 1925 daughter of the late Charles E. and Erma Fry Ritter. She graduated from South Whitehall High School in 1942 and from East Stroudsburg State Teachers College in 1946. She worked as a school teacher for 25 years and attended the Tunkhannock Presbyterian Church. She is survived by sons Judson and his wife Ellen of Kingsley; John and his wife Patty, and Richard and his wife Pam all of Tunkhannock; a brother Richard Ritter and a sister Francis Carr both of Allentown. She was preceded in death by a brother Astor Ritter. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 10th at 10 am from the Tunkhannock Presbyterian Church with Rev Kenneth Trexler. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, July 9th from 7 – 9 pm at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc., 73 West Tioga St., Tunkhannock. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the TAEA Scholarship Fund, Tunkhannock.
