Rose S. Deitzer, 79, of Lake Winola View Apartments, died January 30, 2012, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center. She was born in Scranton April 29, 1932 daughter of the late Stephen and Antoinette Panek Krahel. Rose was educated in Scranton schools and was a member of St Mary of the Lake Church, Lake Winola and its Altar and Rosary Society. She made quilts for the homeless every week with a group of very special ladies and loved visits from her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death in 2005 by her husband Thomas Deitzer Sr., five brothers Stanley, Benjamin, Edward, Joseph and John, and six sisters Wanda Krahel, Anna Reis, Mary Sutula, Catherine Nemeth, Helen Trunzo, and Sophie Beynon. Rose is survived by two sons, Thomas Jr. and wife Pat of Tunkhannock, and Michael and wife Dannine of Peckville; a daughter Susan and husband Michael McLane of Clark Summit; one sister Stella Darcey of Scranton, as well as six grandchildren, two great- granddaughters, and one great-grandson. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am from St Mary of the Lake Church, Lake Winola on Friday, February 3, 2012. Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Park Elmhurst.
