Rodney E. Weiss of Tunkhannock, died Friday in the Golden Living Care Center in Tunkhannock. He was born in Franklin Twp. Wyoming County on October 30, 1945 son of the late Gerald and Margaret Louise DeRemer Weis. Rodney was a graduate of Tunkhannock High School class of 1963. A Marine Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict were he served as a Crew Chief on a Helicopter. He was awarded a Bronze Star. Prior to his retirement he was the owner of Weiss’s Service Station in Sugar Hollow and Weiss’s Garage in Noxen retiring from Encon in Dallas. Rodney was preceded in death by a brother Richard Weiss, surviving is a son Rhoades Weiss of Tunkhannock, daughter Stephanie Weiss of Tunkhannock, brother David Weiss of Noxen, sisters Patsy Dulsky, Geraldine Miner both of Tunkhannock, Beatrice Dwyer of Wyoming, Pa., Rena Kyttle of Swett Valley, grandsons Jeremy Rowe and Keegyn Legg both of Tunkhannock. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 am from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., and Tunkhannock with Pastor James Howell, Pastor of the Northmoreland Baptist Church. Interment will be in Orcutt Cemetery, Noxen. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday 6 to 8.
