William J. Harvey Sr. of Hickory Drive Tunkhannock passed away at home on Friday June 11, 2010. Born in Montrose January 15, 1961 he was a son of the late Almon and Olive Dymond Harvey. Prior to his retirement he worked as a laborer and lumberman at Deer Park Lumber in Tunkhannock. He was preceded in death by brothers; Earl, Harry, and Donald Harvey and sisters Shirley Hallock, Connie Sherwood, and Joan Harvey. Surviving is his wife Brenda Jenkins Harvey; sons Jeremy and Lucas Harvey both of Forty Fort, and daughters Melissa Mendoza of Tunkhannock, Kristy Harvey of Wyalusing and Ashley Visneski of Noxen. Sisters Faye Oakes and Betty Lou Vaow both of Meshoppen, Anna Wandell of Durhamville, NY., Charlotte Hunter of Shickshinny, Alberta Belcher, Sharon Harvey and Judy Harvey all of Tunkhannock and Donna Shoemaker of Montrose; brothers James Harvey of Brookville, PA, Albert Harvey of Harvey’s Lake, Ralph Harvey of Meshoppen, and Sam Harvey of Exeter as well as nine grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 1 pm , from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc. 73 West Tioga St, Tunkhannock, PA. with Rev. John Hardman-Zimmerman of Southern Care Hospice officiating.
