Guy E. Stevens Jr. of Coquina Crossing in Elkton, Florida died on Monday September 20, 2010 at his home. He was born in Meshoppen on January 16, 1940 son of the late Guy E. and Elizabeth Peters Stevens. Guy was a member of the last graduating class of Meshoppen High School the class of 1957. He was known to his classmates and life long friends as “Stevie”. He graduated from Penn State University in 1961 with a BA in Management. Guy was a member of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity an Army Veteran. He married Marilyn Deal, Algona, IA in December 1969 and was later divorced. His professional career was in the automobile industry. He retired in 2007 after 32 years in the business from Atlantic Dodge Chrysler Jeep in St. Augustine, Fla. Guy was a car guy, enjoying all makes and models and companies, but his true love was Dodge Cars. Surviving are sisters Maxine Smales, Else Sayles, husband Tom and Alda Page all of Tunkhannock, daughters and husbands Krista Leigh, husband Scott, Fort Dodge, IA, Elizabeth (Lisa) Bormann, husband Kirk of Savage, MN, 5 grandchildren Rob, Gretta, Daniel, Megan and Donnie and best friend Dick Jones of St. Augustine, Fl and nieces and nephews, Steven Smales, Sharman Sheridan, Jack Carter, Dr Judy Carter, James Carter, Richard Page, Stevenie Fry, and John Page. A memorial service to honor Guy will be held on Saturday October 9, 2010 at 10 am in Jersey Hill Cemetery, Jersey Hill with Rev. Thomas Mott Pastor of the Meshoppen United Methodist Church.
