Richard Dickinson 86, of Lake Winola died Sunday evening at his residence. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Virginia Ayers Dickinson. He was born in Schultzville, PA on March 13, 1924 son of the late Alfred and Hilda Johnson Dickinson. Richard was a member of the Lake Winola United Methodist Church; he enjoyed wood working, rides in his car and eating at Perkins Restaurant. He was preceded in death by his brother William Dickinson and sisters Audrey Landsidel, and Jean Urban. He is survived by his sister Norine Carpenter, of Dalton, sister in law Joan O’Dell of Pittston, nieces Donna Sluck, of Dalton, Cathy Posluszny, of Pittston, nephews Dennis and Ralph Dickinson, of Dalton and Kevin O’Dell of Pittston and several other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am from the Lake Winola United Methodist Church with Pastor Joan Dodson. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery Lake Winola. Friends may call at Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock on Thursday evening from 5 – 8 pm. Memorial contributions can be made to the Lake Winola United Methodist Church.
