James J. Bartron, 68, of Tunkhannock died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at his residence. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Kathe Reynolds Bartron. Born in Tunkhannock on Nov. 16, 1940, he was a son of the late John and Helen Byrd Bartron. James enjoyed woodworking, building and repairing clocks. He had a love for birds and fishing and ’40s music. He is survived by brothers Daniel, of Arizona, John, of Tunkhannock, and Robert of Idaho; sisters, Margaret Goldstein, of Fort Myers, Fla.., Sally Rosencrance, of Laceyville, and Deborah Bartron of Florida; several nieces and nephews. A gathering of friends and family will be held today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc. 73 West Tioga St., Tunkhannock. A memorial service will be held on Friday at 11 from the Lemon United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions can be made to the Tyler Health Foundation, Susquehanna County SPCA, or the Lemon United Methodist Church.
