Martha F. Lunger of Tunkhannock died Sunday in Tyler Memorial Hospital in Tunkhannock. She was born in Coudersport, Pa. on July 26, 1953 daughter of Murray and Trudy Trunk Fisk of Tunkhannock. Martha was a 1971 graduate of Tunkhannock High School, 1975 graduate of Marywood College receiving a BS in Elementary Education. Prior to her retirement she taught 5th grade in the Tunkhannock Area School District for 25 years. Martha was a member of the Tunkhannock Women’s Club. Martha was devoted wife, sister and aunt and a great mother to all of her students. She enjoyed the outdoors and had a soft spot in her heart for all animals. Surviving is her husband of 19 years Edward Lunger, brother Paul of Falls, sisters Jane Wiggins of Martinez, Ga., Marilyn Heller of Clark Summit, Ann Fisk-Ware of Tunkhannock, several nieces and nephews. Funeral; services will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St.,, Tunkhannock, with mass of Christian Burial at the Church of the Nativity BVM at 10 am. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening form 5 to 8. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to the Humane Society of their choice.
