Linda Lou Pilger, 73, of Beaumont, passed away Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Noxen on May 20, 1936, she was a daughter of the late John and Sophia Palmer Hackling. She was a graduate of Lake Noxen High School, class of 1954. Linda was preceded in death by her husbands, Ernest Phillips in 1970, and Robert Pilger in 2004; and son, Eric Phillips, in 1996. She is survived by her daughters, Carol (Pilger) and husband, Doc Dulaney, of Kingston, Elaine (Phillips) and husband, Joseph Brennan, of Tunkhannock, Eden (Phillips) and husband, Scott Alden, of Allentown, Sara (Pilger) and husband, Chris Loiselle, of Trucksville, and daughter-in-law Karen Phillips of Tunkhannock; sons, Robert and wife, Charla Pilger, and Ernest and wife, Elizabeth Phillips, all of Dallas, Mark and wife, Karen Pilger, James and wife, Denise Pilger, all of Harveys Lake, and Walter Pilger of Beaumont; brother John Hackling of Miami, FL,13 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; as well as Cleo and Bear. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Rt. 118, Dallas Township, at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, with Pastor Charles H. Grube officiating. Friends may call at the church from noon until the time of the service. Arrangements are by the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 West Tioga St., Tunkhannock.
