Irene M. Macijowsky, formerly of Lake Winola, died Monday at the Golden Living Center, Tunkhannock. Born in Duryea on March 4, 1924, she was the daughter of the Late Stephen and Stella Kulas Glinski Golenski and stepdaughter of the late Stella Azarowicz-Glinski Golenski. She was a graduate of Falls-Overfield High School, class of 1942. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph Jr. and Rebecca Macijowsky, Factoryville; and Eugene and Fran Macijowsky, Lake Winola; three sisters, Connie Wilbur, Falls; Helen Zarychta, Tunkhannock; and Joan Cease, Shavertown; four grandchildren and spouses, Carrie and Ken Laboski, Fitchburg, Wis.; Maryann and Jim Farnsworth, Stafford, Va.; Jeanne and Tom Komp, King of Prussia; and Andrew Macijowsky and fiancée, Heather Nester, Lake Winola; four great-grandsons, Nathan and Mathew Farnsworth, and twins, Jake and Trevor Komp. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Steve Glinski; and two sisters, Celia Skislak and Mary Panuski. A memorial prayer service will be Sunday at 8:30 a.m. from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with Deacon Ray Peretti of Church of the Nativity B.V.M. officiating.
