Wilbur H. Smith, 92, of Auburn Twp. Susquehanna Co. formerly of Jackson, New Jersey and Daytona Beach, Fla. died Wednesday March 6th in the Golden Living Care Center in Tunkhannock.
Wilbur was born in Cornwell Heights, Pa. on December 3, 1920 son of the late Wilbur H. and Jane Morrison Smith Sr. He was a graduate of Bensalem High School in Bucks County and an Army Air Force Veteran of WWII achieving the rank of Aviation Cadet.
He was employed by RCA Corp., Astro Space Division a quality control engineer retiring to Florida in 1983. He was a member of Bristol Masonic Lodge #25 F&AM and other masonic organizations. Preceding him in death was his wife E. Loretta H. Smith and a son Richard P. Smith, Sr.
Surviving is a daughter Lynne L. Delano whom he resided with prior to going to Golden Living Care Center. A step son, Robert Stockdale of Southington ,CT., 5 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Interment will be in Riverside Memorial Park, Jacksonville, Fla.
