Lois A. Payne of Lake Winola died Friday March 8th in Abington Manor Clarks Summit. She was born in East Benton on October 26, 1922 daughter of the late Frederick and Minnie Norton Payne.
Lois was employed for over 36 years at Pope and Talbot plant in Ransom and for several years she worked on the family Dairy Farm. A member of the Lake Winola United Methodist Church, Lake Winola Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and the Lake Winola Lioness.
She was preceded in death by Sisters Wilma Miner, Ruth Turzian and brother Robert Payne. Surviving are nieces Barbara Frear and Husband Carl and Meredith Miner-Reese all of Lake Winola, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 16 at 7pm from the Lake Winola United Methodist Church with Pastor Joan Dodson. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lake Winola United Methodist Church, 326 Maple Dr., Dalton, Pa. 18414. Arrangements, by Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W.
