Obituary of Loretta Ruth Einecke

Loretta Ruth Einecke went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October 24, 2016 following a brief illness. Loretta was born to Eric Otto and Margaret (Franke) Einecke on July 1st, 1939 in Weehawken, NJ. Loretta was an only child. Her father immigrated to the U.S.A. from Berlin, Germany in 1921 and later became a naturalized citizen. Following High School Loretta worked as an analyst in the Administrative Offices of New York University for 15 years, commuting each day from North Bergen, NJ. While at NYU she earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Commerce and then an MBA from the School of Business Administration. She also studied and became fluent in Spanish, and had some experience teaching as well as a taxi cab driver job. She made a commitment to Jesus Christ and was baptized in the Sea of Galilee in 1975. She left NYU to care for her ailing mother and then was caretaker of her dear friend Florence Heitman in Rutherford, NJ until her passing in 2001. Loretta moved to the Mehoopany, PA area in 2002 and remained until her death. She served on the board of the Montrose Bible Conference for several years. For the past 2 years, she has served on the board of Child Evangelism Fellowship of Wyoming & Sullivan Counties. She has served faithfully as a member of the Mehoopany Baptist Church in the Teen Ministry, Lending Library, Operation Christmas Child ministry, Celebrate Recovery, and ladies Bible Study groups. Loretta loved children of all ages and was known as "Aunt Loretta" to many of her friend's kids. She loved gardening, traveling, jigsaw puzzles, was an excellent bowler and a big fan of her beloved New York Yankees. Loretta’s life of generosity can be summed up in the words of her Lord, “...it is more blessed to give, than to receive.” Her church family and friends will miss her dearly. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, October 28th from the Mehoopany Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Billingsley officiating. Interment will be in Forkston Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 10 am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Operation Christmas Child ministry through the Mehoopany Baptist Church, 4301 SR 87, Mehoopany, PA 18629. Arrangement entrusted to the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA.
