Barbara Chapman of Tunkhannock died Friday February 3, 2017. She was born in Farmingdale, NY on November 10, 1950, daughter of Robert Chapman of Farmingdale and the late Margaret Carmody Chapman. Barbara was a graduate of Farmingdale High School Class of 1968. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed by the Tunkhannock Area School District for over twenty years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She loved the outdoors, including gardening, walking, or trips to the beach. Surviving are daughters and husbands, Tracy and Roger McFillin of Allentown, PA., Cindy and Jarret Robison of Houston, TX., Lori and Austin Gray of Pottstown, PA., brother Paul Chapman of Farmingdale, NY, sisters Carol and husband Mike Joyce of Huntington, NY, Susan Schwenzfeger of Kings Park, NY, Pat and husband Kevin O’Brien of East North Port, NY, grandchildren, Madison, Alexa, Shane, Tyler, Maggie, Zach and Alice. The family would like to thank the Golden Living Center on East Mountain for the compassionate care given to their Mother and Grandmother. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday February 7, 2017 at 10 am in the Church of the Nativity BVM in Tunkhannock. Interment will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY on Wednesday. Family will receive friends at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock on Monday evening from 5 to 7.
