Obituary of Arlene Jane Whalin

Arlene J. Mucha Whalin, 78, formerly of Tunkhannock, passed away May 24, 2017 at her home in Euless, TX. Born January 21, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Florence Stelacone Mucha of Mehoopany, PA.

Arlene enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandsons. She was active in her community center, where she welcomed new members, volunteered her time making hats for newborns, and enjoyed many social activities.  She loved nature, enjoyed being outside, and loved planting flowers.

Her beautiful smile, wonderful laugh, and kind and gentle nature will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her daughter Charlene Leon, and son-in-law Jon Lenzer of Keller TX, daughter Heather Leon and her partner Erik Bedoyar of Euless, TX, her beloved grandsons Carson and Kyle Leon-Lenzer, Brother Frank and Joanne Mucha, nieces Lisa Sholes and Aurelia Jervis, their families, and many other close relatives and friends.

Those of you wishing to attend the funeral services they will be held on Wednesday May 31, 2017 at 11AM from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657. With interment to follow in St. Antony’s Cemetery, Stowell, PA. Arlene’s family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4-6PM at the funeral home.
