Obituary of George E. Hooker
George E. Hooker, Sr. of Springville PA, Frost Proof FLA and Hamilton OH, died on Wednesday in the Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore. He was born in Hamilton Ohio on August 13, 1928, son of the late James Monroe and Hazel L. Johnson Hooker.
He was a graduate of Hamilton High school and received an Associate’s Degree from Ohio Mechanical Institute. He had been employed by Champion Paper Products, General Electric, and Procter and Gamble where he worked as a startup manager until his retirement. He was an army veteran of WWII serving in the Constabulary.
He was preceded in death by his wife Hazel L. Hooker and a brother John Hooker.
Surviving are sons Homer and companion Beth of Auburn Township and Richard Hooker of Auburn Township; daughters Rosana and husband Bill Stang of Springville, Anita and husband Matt Kupchunas of East Lemon. A brother Estill of Hamilton Ohio. Grandchildren, Will Stang, Lanell Stang Brennan, Matthew Kupchunas and Kelli Mackey; great-grandson Gabe Brennan.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday October 17’th from the Webb-Noonan Funeral Home, 240 Ross Ave, Hamilton OH 45013 with Ms. Kelli Mackey, Mr. Hooker’s granddaughter, as celebrant. Interment will be in the Millville Cemetery, Millville OH. Family and friends will be received at the Webb-Noonan Funeral Home on Monday October 16’th from 6 – 8 pm.
