My condolences to Dorothea's family. We were classmates in Clifford Elementary. We, along with a few others, were in the "W" group due to our last name. She was a familiar face when many of us had to make the switch to Mountain View from Forest City for our senior year. She certainly led a full, rewarding life. She will be missed.

Dot will be and is already greatly missed. I hope in some small part- I will always carry in my heart and life - her tenacity, adventure, love of life, love of family, and perseverance.
Her niece.

So very sorry to hear of the passing of Dorothea.
I only knew her as Dorothea Watkins. I knew her parents and siblings too as we were in the same neighborhood. My family was in the valley and hers was up on the hill towards Elk Mountain. Dorothea and her entire family attended the Elkdale Baptist Church as did mine.
We also went to school together at the one room school in Elkdale Pa., and later at the newly constructed school in Clifford, Pa. I was a year ahead of her and after eighth grade I went to Forest City High School and she, along with my sister Ruth Townsend went to the new Mountain View High School a year later. I never saw too much of her after that as we simply went our own way as adulthood arrived.
She obviously had a rich full life.
It is with true sadness that I pass on my sincerest condolences to the family of an old childhood friend and neighbor.

Ken and I are so saddened by the loss of our dear friend..... There are no adequate words of comfort. She always made me feel like I was special and in truth she was a special human being. I will truly miss her.
Heartfelt condolences,
