Mary Ruth Layaou, 83, of Evans Falls died November 8, 2018 at the Meadows Nursing Home, Dallas.

 

Born December 19, 1934 she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lena Mary White Knott. She was a 1952 graduate of Kingston High School.

 

She attended the Kingston, Eatonville, and Evans Falls United Methodist Church.

 

She is survived by a son; James Layaou and wife Bobbie Jo, daughters; Judy Hungeford and husband Jim of Utica NY, Mary Jane Arnold and husband Joe of Springville, five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Mahlon Knott.

 

Family and friends are invited to attend Mary Ruth’s celebration of life service which will be held on Sunday at 4pm from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc. 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3 until the time of service. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Woodlawn Cemetery, Dallas.

 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the donor’s choice in Mary Ruth’s name.
