Rita A. Davis Berchem, 79, of Tunkhannock passed away Wednesday November 28, 2018 at The Gardens, Tunkhannock. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles P. Berchem.

 

Born in Scranton on July 12, 1939 she was the daughter of the late Morgan and Mary Brennan Davis.

 

Rita was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Tunkhannock. She was full of life and enjoyed spending time with her family.

 

She is survived by a son, Charles P. Jr. and fiancé Michelle of Kingston; daughters, Mary Yumet, and Patricia A. Smith and husband Donald both of Tunkhannock; grandchildren, Robert Davy and fiancé Kaitlyn Klinges, Evan Smith, and Elizabeth Taylor; two great-grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlotte; brother, Morgan; sister, Paulette; son-in-law, Anthony Yumet.

 

Family and friends are invited to attend Rita’s blessing service which will begin Friday November 30, 2018 at 11 AM from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc. 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657, to be celebrated by Deacon Raymond A. Pieretti. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 AM until the time of service on Friday. Interment will take place in Pieta Cemetery, Tunkhannock.
