Obituary of Timothy Clare Owens

Timothy Clare Owens of Wilkes-Barre, died unexpectedly on Monday January 7^th at home.  He was born in Scranton on August 3, 1959, son of Judith D. Owens and the late Thomas M. Owens.

Tim was a 1977 graduate of Tunkhannock Area High School and attended the University of Houston.  Prior to retirement he worked as a computer technician.  Although Tim loved city life he also loved hiking and everything outdoors, particularly reptiles, oceans and sharks and anything involving nature.

He was preceded in death by his father Thomas M. Owens, a brother, Daniel Owens, and brother-in-law Dwayne LaValley, and a good friend Kevin.
 

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters: Heather LaValley of Nicholson and Tami Owens of Tunkhannock as well as nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. 

At Timothy’s request there will be no services.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Tim’s name to the Wyoming County Humane Society, PO Box 478, Tunkhannock, PA 18657.  Arrangements entrusted to the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
