Kendall Logan and I were friends with Carl on Prince of Wales Island in Alaska. We are deeply saddened to hear about Carl's passing, but believe he has moved to a new place in his own way. We are honored to plant a tree in his name and hope it brings some comfort to his family and friends. Join in honoring their life - plant a memorial tree

So sorry to hear about Carl.
We were in camp with Carl in Alaska and he became a lifelong friend.
There are so many good stories we could tell.
Carl and Burly used to come down from the bunkhouse to our house on the floats to visit (I think they got homesick) , they were so good to our kids.
Carl went fishing on Steelhead Creek with a bunch of us one evening. He had some little white crappie jigs that he was going to catch trout with...we all hooted and made fun of his choice of bait.
Well, it wasn't long before Carl had a bunch of trout. Naturally we swallowed our pride and asked Carl if he might have a few extra jigs.
I guess I don't need to tell you how much begging it took to get one of those jigs.
Anyone who knew Carl knew about the "Big Halibut " , he was really proud of that fish , and we are proud to say he was in our boat when he caught it.
He told me, "Don't worry Lester , l leaned over and put an X on the side of your boat so you will know the spot to go back to.
We'll miss you Carl , hope the hunting and fishing is good where you are.
