Our deepest sympathies to all of you and your families. I knew immediately when I saw the picture that was your dad even before I saw the name, even though it has been many years!! My brother Andy & I used to shovel snow for your Grandma Sherburne and I think your dad looks like her. The video shows what a wonderful, happy, family filled life your mom and dad lived.

To the Fred Sherburne Family. I was so shocked when I saw Fred's picture and name in the WC Examiner. This has been quite a year. Now Fred and Ike can sing bass in God's choir and Elsie can sing soprano. We had so much fun together. We had so many after church service dinners together at the Fireplace. The best remembrance was when Fred and Elsie drove to Pam's wedding in Maryland/Virginia Aug.27, 2005. They won for the couple who was married the longest and danced together. I will have to find that picture and get a copy to you. May the peace that passes all understanding be with you.

It has been a pleasure and honor to know Fred for the past several months while he was a resident at The Gardens at Tunkhannock. He was a kind and wonderful man .Fred had a great sense of humor. This summer ,with limited visitation I had the opportunity to spend a great deal of time in the Courtyard with Fred. Knowing that he enjoyed the fresh air and sunshine ,we would sit and watch for the hummingbirds . Fred ,helped me through a difficult time ,by "just being Fred'. He made me smile so often this summer, when all I wanted to do was cry over our daughter ,Courtney who was killed. Fred gave me a reason to smile . We had great discussions but often would just be still and listen … Fred so loved his family and I had the pleasure of meeting them .Music was a big part of Fred's happiness and when family came to play ,it made his week. He was so proud of his family.
I know he is with his lovely wife and they are happy again . I first met Elsie ,on the kitchen floor with the phone cord wrapped around her as a Home Health Social worker .What a first impression ! Know that Fred made this world a better place and will be remembered by many .
