Uncle Cotton (as we knew him) was just a spit fire of fun and energy. He was such a tease just like all the Thompson boys were. I loved walking in the woods around his home with him. Whenever I visited he would make me pancakes for breakfast....and wouldn’t take no for an answer. My grandson in the pictures absolutely loved this particular visit. Uncle Cotton took him fishing and showed him how the scale his catch. They went on an ATV ride too. What a great experience! He was like that with all the kids.
I will sorely miss my trips home to visit with him. He is the last of the Thompson siblings and the end of an era. Love him and will keep him in my heart forever❤️

Sadden to hear of Cottons passing. I enjoyed talking about hunting, fishing and the Eagles with him while having a couple cold ones. He will be missed.

Mr. Belford was very special to our family, specifically our children. He was particularly thoughtful about our two youngest and sought them out in church with lollipops and other special gifts. He was a very kind man and will be missed.
On of our teenager sons helped him split and stack wood and was shocked at the strength and stamina he had at over 80 years old!
Though we are saddened by his passing, we hold hope in seeing him again in eternity.
