Dave was like the big brother I never had during the years we worked together growing up. He was already such an awesome guy back then—funny, smart, really good at listening and giving advice. I can only imagine what an amazing dad, husband, and teacher he turned out to be. I hadn’t seen him in years but connected more recently on Facebook. It was great to see an old friend living a happy life, especially his photos of his beautiful family. I’m so sorry this happened. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and students. We’re all better for having known him.

Mr. Holdredge was one of the very best teachers at Wyalusing. He made class so fun and provided us the tools we needed to succeed. But more importantly, Mr. Holdredge was a great person and made us laugh every day, whether it was his concerts in homeroom where he was drumming on his desk or he was telling us a funny story from his college days. He always went the extra mile to connect with all of us, and never gave up on a student.
Rest In Peace, Mr. Holdredge. You will be very missed.

Wyalusing has lost an incredible educator. Dave's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled. He had a creative approach to motivate students and inspire students to succeed. Dave's passing has been rough for all of us who knew him as an educator but even more difficult for those who called him a friend.
Rest in Peace Dave!
