Geoffrey David-Josef Cota-Bayley, 37, of Tunkhannock passed away unexpectedly April 2, 2021. He is survived by his partner of 10 years Richard “Perry” Lyons. Born in Sacramento, California and having grown up primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area, he is the son of Margaret (Peg) Boucher-Murphy and Barbara Jane Bayley. Geoffrey was an active participant in LARPS, an avid storyteller and reader, and a passionate former participant in the San Francisco Renaissance Faire. In addition to his parents and partner he is survived by sisters and brothers Rowan Cota, Ariel Murphy, Natalie Murphy, and Jonathan Murphy, niece Sofia Alling and many friends across the country. Funeral services will be held on Monday April 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc. 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock. A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Monday.
