Obituary of Kathleen M. Collett

Kathleen M. Collett, 67, of Galloway, NJ passed away on October 9, 2021 at Health Center of Galloway. Born in Wilmington, DE on March 14, 1954 she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Kathleen Bates Collett. A graduate of Tunkhannock High School, Kathleen attended Misericordia University for her undergraduate studies. While teaching at Middle Township HS in NJ, she earned a Master of Education degree from Rowan University. She pursued a Doctor of Education at William and Mary. She came back to NJ to be nearer to her family and worked at Fairleigh Dickinson University for the rest of her career. After retiring, she moved to Smithville, NJ to spend time with her five grandchildren. Kathleen will be remembered by her family and friends as an avid reader, knitter, and traveler. She is survived by son, William Colangelo II and wife Jeannine; daughter, Kelly Abdrabouh and husband Walead; brothers, Sean and Paul Collett; sisters, Diane Stone, Patricia Keeney, and Lisa May; grandchildren, William III, Julia, and Keira Colangelo, Ava and Emma Abdrabouh. Family and friends are invited to attend Kathleen’s Mass of Christian Burial which will be held on Saturday October 16, 2021 at 10am from the church of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 99 E. Tioga Street Tunkhannock, PA 18657 to be celebrated by the Rev. Patrick Albert. Interment will be held at Pieta Cemetery, Tunkhannock. A viewing will be held on Friday October 15, 2021 from 5-7pm at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc. 73 W. Tioga Street Tunkhannock, PA 18657. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Arthritis Foundation in her memory.
