Donald R. Egliskis, 88, of Dallas passed away on Thursday October 28, 2021 at his home. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Marion I. Goble. Born in South Eaton on October 30, 1932 he was the son of the late Andrew and Margaret Kristunas Egliskis. He was a member of the Gate of Heaven Church and a 1950 graduate of Tunkhannock School District and worked for Hershey Creamery Co. until his retirement. After his retirement he worked as a crossing guard for Gate of Heaven School and the Dallas Library. Don and his wife were caring and loving parents not only to their children but also several foster children throughout the years. He loved golfing and attending all of his grandchildren’s sporting events. Don and his wife enjoyed their daily walks and taking care of the yard. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, David Egliskis and wife Mitsuko and Jimmy May; daughters, Fern Schooley and husband David, Rachel Newman and husband William, and Jessica Kukosky; step-son, Jeff Ayers and wife Kelly; step-daughter, Cyndi Laviska; grandchildren, Desiree and Adam Schooley, Erika and Karin Egliskis, Nathan, Daniel, and Amelia Ayers, Geneva and Jared Laviska, Hayden Fiona, and Winnie Newman, and Trinity Miller; great grandchildren, Clara and Amari Schooley, Sarah Rios-Perkins, Dylan Ruger Schooley, Mason Rios, and Angelique; two great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul and Bill Egliskis and Frank Ambrutis; sisters, Jean Kovalakas and Connie Heffering. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
