Obituary of Richard F. Schwoebel

Richard F. Schwoebel, 80, of Lake Winola passed away on Wednesday December 15, 2021 at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Novicke-Schwoebel in 2020. Born in Newark, NJ on June 19, 1941 he was the son of the late Leonard and Ann Washington Schwoebel. He was a member of St. Mary’s of the lake church and church treasurer for over twenty years. He enjoyed singing in the choir and spending time at the Scranton Canoe Club. Dick is survived by his son, Jon T. Schwoebel; daughters, Liesl Schwoebel and Louisa Bink and husband John; grandchildren, Brandi Marziglianno and Zachary Bink; nephew Kevin Schwoebel, extended family, Jimmy, Sandy, and Mason Kronmuller; canine friend, Elvis. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by daughter, Sharron Marziglianno; brother, Donald; sister, Joann. Family and friends are invited to attend Dick’s Mass of Christian Burial which will be held on Tuesday December 21, 2021 at 10:00 AM from St. Mary’s of the Lake Church, 1872 Dalton Rd, Lake Winola, PA 18625 to be celebrated by Rev. Patrick Albert. Interment will be held in Fairview Cemetery, Lake Winola. A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until mass on Tuesday.
