Josephine Murrell, 84, of Lake Winola, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2021. Mom, Grandma Josie, and GG as she was known by her family will be deeply missed. Josephine leaves behind a legacy of love with 6 children: Denise Daloisio of Apex, NC; Nicki Maciejczak of Sweet Valley, PA, John Mercurio, and wife Kelli of Stroudsburg, PA; MaryJo Baker and husband, Jeff of Meshoppen, PA; Melissa Baker and husband, Bob of Tunkhannock, PA and Michael Mercurio of Tunkhannock, PA; 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, John and Genevieve Sarnoski; brother, Frank Sarnoski, sister, Jean Cosky; the father of her children, Nicholas Mercurio, the love of her life, Ken Murrell and son in laws, George Evans and John Maciejczak. She is survived by her sister, Dolores Green. Josephine loved spending time with her family, going to the beach, painting and growing her faith. She was a member of Countryside Community Church in Clarks Summit. Family and friends are invited to attend Josephine’s funeral service which will be held on Wednesday December 22, 2021 at 6:00 PM from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc. 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657 with Pastor Jim Hollister presiding. A viewing will be held from 5:00pm until the time of service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Countryside Community Church in her memory.
