Obituary of Laurie Pedley

Laurie Ann Pedley, 64, of Meshoppen, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 15, 2022 She was an inpatient at Sacred Heart Hospice in Dunmore. Laurie was born in Tyler Hospital located in Meshoppen, to the late George and Kathleen Smith. She was a 1975 graduate of Tunkhannock Area High School. She worked at several jobs over the years, prior to her retirement, she was the Administrative Assistant in the Wyoming County Office of Community Planning. Those that knew Laurie Knew she had a big Heart and would help other, no questions asked. Even in her death Laurie attempted to help others by wanting to donate her body to science, to help our future generation through research and education. However, due to unfortunate circumstances that was not an option at the end of her journey. Laurie is survived by her spouse, William Pedley; children, Loren Pedley and wife Raven and Devon Pedley; three grandchildren, Caiden Grabowski, Lydia, and Aaron Pedley; sisters, Linda Smith-Ball and Georgette Smith and companion William Hope; brother, David Smith and wife Lynn Smith; brother-in- law, Joseph and wife Jeanne Stark, as well as her many loved nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Darlene Smith Stark. As per Laurie's wish, there will be no funeral services.
