Obituary of James Robert Locker

James Robert Locker, Sr., 86, of Tunkhannock passed away on March 10, 2022 at Regional Hospital of Scranton. He is survived by his wife Barbara A. McDonald Locker. Born in Scranton, PA he was the son of the late Edward and Thelma Lintott Locker. Jim was a Sergeant of the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War 1st Marine Division, Baker 1-7. Jim graduated from Penn State Technology in Williamsport, PA, and worked for Bendix/Facet/Purolator in Elmira Heights, NY for 25 Years. He was a proud and faithful member of the Elmira Heights Fire Department for many years. After retirement he moved to Lake Carey in Tunkhannock, PA, and worked as an assembler for Wal-Mart. He was a member of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church and a member of the American Legion Dennis Strong Post 510. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, James, Jr. and wife Laurie of Elmira Heights, NY, Steve and wife Kim of Matthews, NC, and David of Tunkhannock, PA; brother Gary Locker of Scranton, PA; grandchildren, Elizabeth Little and husband John, Patrick Locker and wife Adrienne, Tyler Locker, and Kaylyn Locker; great grandchildren, Levi, Charlotte, Greyson, and Zander; nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; special thanks to, Melissa, Kristofer, and Briana for all of there help. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Locker of Takoma, MD. Funeral services will be held privately with full military honors. Interment will be held in Pieta Cemetery, Tunkhannock. Arrangements and care are entrusted to Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc., 73 West Tioga Street Tunkhannock, PA 18657. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Elmira Heights Fire Company, 215 Elmwood Ave. Elmira, NY 14903.
